ReidNews podcast for Fri Jan 14 2005

by ,

I recorded a podcast Friday on the way in to work.
Let me know what you think!

WordPress is *supposed* to automatically generate an <enclosure .. > tag for mp3 URLs.
Let’s see if it works!

podcast, Reid.

About rae

I'm a long-time Mac and iOS developer. I'm also a big fan of Ruby on Rails and relational databases. I tend to work remotely, in my basement with occasional trips to the office. I'm also a big videophile, both TV and film, and can't wait for a good, inexpensive home 4k solution.

If the iPod does not know how to drop “dead air”, download one of those free audio editors and slice and dice it yourself. You could even add a laugh track with it. 🙂

There are a class of podcasts that seem to adhere to the idea that you always record “live” and publish that, without and post production. Of course, this is completely at odds with the way more professional-sounding ‘casts like “IT Conversations” or “Leo Laporte’s KFI Airchecks“.

The live recording thing however has one major piece of appeal: it limits the amount of time you waste on your show. 🙂

Arrrrghhh! I just realized that this blog is running the old 1.2 WordPress, not the latest 1.5-almost from CVS. That’s why podcasting isn’t working.

Well, I guess I have to upgrade to WordPress 1.5-almost at some point. Until then, I will post my podcasts on Tech Tok.

Hey, great sound quality! Even with the swinging.
You should sing more. And I want to hear Luisa!
Are you going to archive these anywhere?
